Disneyland Paris has organised a Welsh-themed weekend for St David’s Day

Wales will be celebrating its patron saint this week.

But it’s not just here at home that St David is being honoured – Disneyland Paris is hosting a Welsh weekend to mark the occasion.

The resort, which has two theme parks, will host annual St David’s Welsh Weekend from Friday, March 9 until Sunday, March 11 .

The French destination will be transformed, offering a taste of Wales to its guests from Wales and all over the world.

During the weekend, which is taking place more than a week after St David’s Day, there’ll be live music and choirs singing traditional Welsh songs, performances from children and a range of tasty Welsh treats at a Welsh craft and street market in Disney village.

Disneyland’s face painters will also be on hand to transform younger guests with a daffodil or dragon makeover.

In the evening, a red, white and green fireworks display will be lighting up the sky above the Sleeping Beauty castle.
