Tragic Jade Mutua, 22, was on a night out with pals when she was struck near to busy Kensington High Street on Tuesday night around 9.55pm.
The devastated family of 22-year-old Jade Mutua have revealed that she died from her injuries after being hit by a police car Jade’s family told of their heartbreak as they spoke about their ‘beautiful, fun loving girl who had her whole life ahead of her’
It is not yet clear if the police car was on a 999 call.
“She was visiting friends in the area that night but we are still trying to piece together her movements, where she had been and where she was going when she was hit.
“We don’t even know if the police car was on a 999 call.
“We’re absolutely heartbroken Jade has gone.”
She suffered a broken back, neck, ruptured pelvis and broken leg – plus a traumatic brain injury.
Mina said: “There was such a huge lack of oxygen to her brain that they found Jade was essentially brain-dead. She never did regain consciousness.
An investigation into the collision is underway and the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
A Met Police spokesman said: “A mandatory referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct who have launched an independent investigation.”
