The New Mexico School for the Arts invites the public to its fundraising gala event on Friday and its yearly spring celebration and collaboration with theater, dance, music (vocal and instrumental, visual arts and creative writing.)

The 22nd annual AspenCash Motorcycle Rally takes place Thursday to Saturday from 10 a.

m. The rally features a poker run and a large trade show.

The Saturday parade starts at 10 a.m.

running through midtown, concluding at the Ruidoso Convention Center. The AspenCash Motorcycle Rally will feature stunt shows throughout the entire rally.

The Sandia Sprint Triathlon is hosted by Chaco Racing and includes a 400-yard swim, 20K bicycle race and a 5K run. Kick-off is at 7:30 a.

A portion of the proce from this event will be donated to the Rio Rancho and Cleveland high school swim teams.

Every participant will receive a Sandia Sprint pint glass and T-shirt.

Cerrillos Hills State Park hosts the annual Art in the Park event, featuring artists along the Turquoise Trail corridor.

Directions: From State Highway 14, turn west into the village of Cerrillos.

At the first stop sign, turn right (north) onto First Street, cross the railroad tracks and follow park signs. At the cattle guard, veer left onto County Road 59.

The 47th annual Mayfair Juried Art Show takes place in Zenith Park and will feature work from new and well-known artists.

Gallup State Veterans Cemetery opening

The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services will formally open the Gallup State Veterans Cemetery with a special ceremony on Memorial Day at 1 p.

m. The cemetery is located 333 National Cemetery Drive.

Veterans, families and the public are invited to attend. This will be the second state veterans cemetery developed by DVS as part of a State Veterans Cemetery Initiative to build veterans cemeteries in rural areas of the state.

The first cemetery, the Fort Stanton State Veterans Cemetery, opened in the fall of 2017.

The 35th annual Milkman Triathlon registration is now open.

This is a U.S.

A. Triathlon sanctioned event and all competitive rules apply.

The triathlon includes 0.5K swim, 20K bicycle and 5K run.

Relays whose swimmer is also a soloist must enter by mail. One person in the mixed relay of three must be of the opposite sex.

No relay substitutions after entry deadline on May 29, by 3 p.m.
