Michelle grabbed her passport, packed her bag and headed off to Central America with Collette.
She’s in Costa Rica, a place known for its lush vegetation, beautiful beaches and eco-tourism.
Bordered by the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean, the mountainous country is also a great place for agriculture, because of its altitude, long sunny days and wet weather.
We join her at a coffee plantation, a point of pride for Costa Ricans, claiming that theirs is one of the best in the world.
Watch the video above to learn more about the Coffee Plantation.
And from a mountain in northern Michigan, to somewhere a little more tropical.
Many Central American countries have been deforested by farmers, development and more.
Costa Rica was headed down that path in the 1940s, but today conservation efforts have paid off and much of the rainforest is protected.
We check in with Michelle again as she introduces us to her Collette Tour Manager, Greivin Cubero, at one of his favorite places to visit.
