Signs of stable market dynamics are most welcome to this underdeveloped and untapped region.

Emerging African Daily Fantasy Sports B2B provider Oulala has stretched its expansion of its DFS network into East Africa by striking a deal with Safaribet Kenya.

Kicking In

Scheduled to go live early in 2018, the two year agreement calls for incremental integration with Oulala’s Iframe and then API.

Oulala Leader Reacts

Oulala CEO Valery Bollier called Safaribet a key addition to its DFS network because of Safaribet’s demonstrated acumen for selling more “young operators from Africa, Asia and South America, as well as new entrants within the European market” on the idea of joining the work in progress at this stage of the Oulala network build.

Blazing the African Trail

As one of the leading sports betting companies in East Africa, Safaribet Kenya is looking to Kenya as the road for Safaribet’s slate of socially innovative games and products to the lucrative east African market, with Oulala’s products to be introduced to the region through Safaribet Kenya.

Expanded Offerings

In the new agreement, Oulala will offer it’s award-winning DFS game alongside its current online sports betting services for all major sports including football, basketball, ice hockey, rugby and others.

SafariBet Organizational Benefits

Safaribet Kenya CEO Imran Premji explained the strategic benefits:

”We are known as a vibrant, disruptive sports betting brand that likes to cut across barriers and drive social interactions, so offering daily fantasy football games fits perfectly into our vision of connecting with our customers on an emotional level.”

Premji further asserted that the Oulala platform stood to enhance the company’s overall market position ahead of next year’s World Cup.

Oulala’s Pioneering Role

Oulala can certainly be seen as a pioneer in promoting the DFS sector in gaming’s largest untapped market of Africa, having recently completed a deal with Marsbet considered to be the region’s first agreement between a licensed B2B skill game operator and an iGaming company.

Positive Development

Ultimately, Oulala’s progress has to be seen as promising to the Africa region in general. Any indications of effective and sustainable expansion can only improve overall trust and operator confidence in the African market, which should ideally convert to increased entry and boosts to local and regional revenues which the African region remains in such sore need of.
